Phase I Desk Studies
Desk Studies are used to compile site data to evaluate the contamination risk , ground and groundwater conditions, and mineral instability to develop a Conceptual Site Model (CSM), a qualitative risk assessment and to identify potential environmental and geotechnical considerations specific to a proposed development.
Often these will be tied in with Mining Risk Assessments.
Such desk studies are variously described as Preliminary Contamination Risk Assessments, Geo-environmental Desk Studies, and Phase 1 Desk Studies.
